(1/20/2018) 100 Suits for 100 Men's Women's Division POP-UP Benefiting 3 Women's Shelters in Jamaica
We've had so much success with the men's pop-up that we thought we'd add more women's pop-ups. We've chosen 3 shelters in Jamaica, Queens and asked that they pick 10 ladies each to bring to this invitation only pop-up.
The women's division was able to collect a good amount of clothing for the women to choose from. Donations came from friends of a staffer's elderly mother and supporters of 100 Suits. We were blessed with the bulk of donations coming from several members of New York City's largest public employee union, DC 37. At a DC 37 meeting Ms. Denise McLain announced that 100 Suits' Women's Division was doing a pop-up shop and could use some donations of clothing. several ladies stepped up and donated. We are thanking DC 37 Members:
Lauren and Percie McLain
And we cannot forget Mrs. Denise McLain
A very special shout out goes to Ms. Simone West, Owner of the Hair Art NYC salon in Jamaica, NY for her generous donation of 2 custom wigs that will be raffled (free tickets) off to 2 women at the pop-up.
We know that this will be a great success, because we have a great circle of supporters!
100 Suits for 100 Men was founded in 2011 by Mr. Kevin Livingston that wanted to create a program to address the needs of underprivileged men and women in need of business attire in the New York City area.
